Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.
We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.
We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
Buy a parts saw with a fried piston/cylinder or better yet a cracked/damaged crankcase. Something you're unlikely to damage on yours. Good to have a carb kit (at least gaskets/diaphrams) on hand, spark plugs, and either a set of points/condensor or a conversion module to eliminate the points on hand. Fuel and air filters are good too. Note: only the older 028's had points.
