It looks like she didn't have the baffle in when she had a fire going; this is seriously overfired. I know I've overfired my stove, but not to this point. And she wants $500 for this stove
Nope. Cracked top means either it's free to someone that can fix it or it's scrap. It looks like she didn't have the baffle in when she had a fire going; this is seriously overfired. I know I've overfired my stove, but not to this point. And she wants $500 for this stove
So you can overfired fisher with no problem?I think you should pass. Looks like it was run hard and put away overheated.
I will also add: That ain't no Fisher.
That is not a Fisher stove. Not good to overheat any stove. So you can overfired fisher with no problem?
It takes a lot more than that chinese stove to overfire a fisher. Fishers are made of 1/4" and 5/16" boiler plate American plate steel. They overheat when they glow.So you can overfired fisher with no problem?
No fishers will still break if over fired constantly. They are more durable than.many but you can kill any stove if you abuse itSo you can overfired fisher with no problem?
That stove which i don't think is Chinese at all has secondary combustion so it can run at much higher temperatures than an old fisher will with much more temperture differential across the stove. The increased efficiency comes at a bit of a cost but I will take a modern stove to heat my home over an old one like a fisher a year day.It takes a lot more than that chinese stove to overfire a fisher. I meant the steel used to build the stove was probably chinese. Absolutely you can destroy a fisher stove. Theres tons of them in backyards. But you have to admit, it's much more forgiving to an over fire. However, it's more susceptible to an over fire compared to this one by user error. That stove which i don't think is Chinese at all has secondary combustion so it can run at much higher temperatures than an old fisher will with much more temperture differential across the stove. Why would you think the steel was Chinese? And of course fishers are more durable i said that. But it's allot easier to build something durable when it's nothing but a box.I meant the steel used to build the stove was probably chinese. Absolutely you can destroy a fisher stove. I think the ones that’s Chinese is the ones from the box stores.. I know my summit top plate is 3/8. And I know there’s a lot of people that have Pacific energy wood burning stove and it’s 30 plus and still running strong! With no problemsIt takes a lot more than that chinese stove to overfire a fisher. Fishers are made of 1/4" and 5/16" boiler plate American plate steel. They overheat when they glow.
I see a lot of people saying that, and I don’t think it’s true at all.Why would you think the steel was Chinese? And of course fishers are more durable i said that. But it's allot easier to build something durable when it's nothing but a box.
It is not at allI see a lot of people saying that, and I don’t think it’s true at all.
The only company bringing stoves from Asian countries is us stove company. Yes those are sold at box stores. But so are some budget Canadian stoves which are very good valuesI think the ones that’s Chinese is the ones from the box stores.. I know my summit top plate is 3/8. True, people just look for anything not to like these new stoves. The only company bringing stoves from Asian countries is us stove company. Yes those are sold at box stores. But so are some budget Canadian stoves which are very good values
Yes. I noticed that this year. I was burning for three days because it was cold last week, and now I know what everyone was saying. You do get more heat when you burn low and slow, and I think my wood is great this year. It been seasoning for 2years. And I noticed with this wood I have to turn down the air control much faster, because I don’t want to overfired the stove. Last year I noticed Two cracked welds. I got it fixed with 7018 I will try to keep the temps at 650 this year. And I will be burning 24/7 this year. That stove which i don't think is Chinese at all has secondary combustion so it can run at much higher temperatures than an old fisher will with much more temperture differential across the stove.
