You folks have been very helpful with informing my selection for a gas stove, now I need to make a decision about a wood burner.
First, I want to know the "real" name for what I am seeking. This installation in for new construction in a living room. It will be a wood burner with a chimney and be a closed unit with a large glass panel to see the fire. It will not be free standing but rather built into the wall to look as much as possible like an open woodburning fireplace of old; it will have a hearth and stone surround.
So, what is the name of what i am looking for: woodstove, insert, zero clearance.....?
And, because there certainly are some good threads that already exist to help folks select an efficient, large window, log burner, I would appreciate your directing me to some of them, so I don't have to "reinvent the wheel" here.
Thanks for all your help.
