WARM MORNING STOVE - MODEL 400
Manufactured by Locke, this reliable piece of magic offers a consistent, dependable, radiating warmth with minimal adjustments needed after the initial firing.
Also referred to as ‘bucket-a-day’ the mix between coal (chestnut), draft, fire and feed - is heaven. Simply start with a morning grate then load, fire off gas, close and draft adjust as needed. Repeat every 12 hours.

- [ ] Purchased in 1983 and operated for 4 heating seasons
- [ ] Fed ONLY anthracite (accepts bituminous and I’ve heard some have burned wood)
- [ ] Installed on ground floor of a bungalow style home, in a finished 2/3 subsurface basement with outside entryway
- [ ] When in operation, TheBeast was the sole heat source for the entire home - 1,200 sqft - (oil kicking on only to serve the hot water needs)
- [ ] Will require 4 men to move to his new home
