Volgerzang 5790, Can switch and motor wires be reversed? I am wondering this because I have swapped motors and switches and sometimes I second guess myself as to weather they plugged back in the same way they were before replacement.

Thanks

Whats the long answer lol, I am guessing the switches and motors can be? What about the auger? I have no plans not to plug them back in correctly but I always like to know the what ifs.
Thanks

Gotcha and switches I am assuming are fine to swap as well, Obviously not from different motors or switches

If a switch is marked on/off then no you can not switch the wires
because if you do ON becomes off and vice versa

All the switches are there for your safety
If one fails then the stove shuts itself down
or won't let you start it. No vac auger will not work
over fire high temp shuts the stove down. Proof of fire
no heat turns auger off. so on and so forth. never run
your stove with switches bypassed for other than testing
but then again it is your and your family's lives so it is up to you.

Gotcha, Pressure switch, Temps switches, Hopper switch and what not do not matter I assume.
Correct doesn't matter which wire to male spade/tab. Some hopper switches and vacuum switches have three male spades then it matters which one you are connected to. The empty spade on your vacuum switch is for stoves with positive pressure so if you use that tab your auger will not come on.

Yes I don't by pass switches unless it is for testing, I just have taken my stove apart in the past for cleaning and then wonder if I hooked it back up correctly. I am pretty sure I have always plugged everything back in from where they came from.

My Hopper switch I think may be acting up and I see the replacements have 3 spades where mine as two.

On the three spade switches the wires usually go on the single spade by it self (com 1) and the bottom spade of the two together (NO3). If you hook the wire to (NC2) top spade auger will only run with hopper open. What the NO stands for is Normally Open that means with the switch in your hand the circuit is open and will not pass electricity through switch. When the hopper lid is shut on the switch it closes the circuit.
