Interesting read, thanks. I've always been interested in wood burning / cutting in the UK. My impression from the time I've spent there is sourcing wood is much more difficult and expensive than here in the US. The forests have obviously had a lot more pressure over the centuries than in North America. I'd be curious to hear from any UK members - can you easily find places to cut your own wood if you're not a large landowner or does everyone just buy it from commercial suppliers?
