South Corsica (France)
Hi Folks, just need your help to identify accurately my new baby. First, forgive me if my english is not as good as yours, I'm living in south Corsica.
I just found an old Upland 27 in the moutains by here, unfortunately the previous owner forgot it for several years in is backyard under rain and sun. Lot of rust, broken bolts, stuck air intake, moss growing in the seams, but all parts still there. The remaining casting thickness is still good, with some elbow grease it will be able to work again for long years.
Strangely the exhaust diameter is 4 inches and only on the upper side. Everywhere I read that on this model the pipes are 6 inches diameter with the possibility of a rear exhaust. Does somebody have some information about that?
On the pictures it's upside down because one leg has a broken bolt.
I started the overhaul, hoping to finish it within 10 days, lot of work to finish first.
Thanks for any information

I did some researches and found several stoves same as mine in hungary. I wonder if they did one variant for the old continent. On the American one the exhaust is pretty as wide as the upper part of the stove, not in Europe. there is no aft exhaust in the back panel, but the heat baffle get the same semi rounded design to fit the american back panel. I will post pictures of that after cleaning the stove.
Just hopping it will breathe as good as the original model.

120mm was standard for this firebox on the Jotul 602. I suspect that 100mm would work as long as it was tall enough.
