Turman's - Should I or Shouldn't I

I've been scouting around for a few tons, mainly looking for a good deal.

My local hearth and home shop switched to Turman's this year. I have never burned them nor have they ever been available locally to me.

They are $275 for the first ton, $265 second, $255 third.

These prices are more than I normally like to pay but i've never really burned a "Premium pellet".

I'm curious more than anything so see how "great" they are.

What should I do??? This pre-buy ends June 15th and the price goes to $312.50/ton.

Turmans are an excellent pellet IMHO. Great heat and super clean. We don't hear much for complaints on them around here! They seem to be very consitent from year to year.

I decided to order three tons.. Talked the lady into $255/ton.

They won't be in untill August. But three pallets are saved for me. super excited about having some Turmans!

This will bring my stash up to 270 bags. Should be good for a while. Thinking about adding another Englader in the basement/workshop. (AM-FM stove - TimberRidge 55-TRPAH - 120lb hopper)

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all...best pellet I ever burned....a bit pricey though but worth it in my eyes.....

I agree, good move! I've been happy with them for several years now. Happy burning (in a few months anyway).

I burned a ton last year and have a ton in my basement for this year. To be honest, I prefer softwood pellets -- the Turmans create a harder ash in my stove and made for tougher scraping in my burn pot.

They throw great heat -- that's why I bought again for the coming season.

Turmans are my favorite pellet. IMHO I don't think they'll disappoint.

Excellent pellet, I love burning these. Great heat and hardly any ash at all. Dense pellet, probably need to turn your feed down and airflow up.

I would place Turman in my top 3 of best pellets! I look for Barefoot Turman and Somerset!

slightly high price, but still, IMHO, in the "fair price" realm....the reason I say slightly high is because you arent all that far from the mill....
