I have a Gatling woodstove rear draft just like the one in the picture I posted I’ve been using it four years now where I blocked off my fireplace and go out through my 12 inch terra-cotta pipe works wonderful. The gentleman I got it from bought it new and said he used to burn coal in it for years with no problem. I’ve only burnt wood. I can’t find any specs on this. It is fire brick lined in the bottom. Is it capable of burning wood and coal safely does anyone have any information on the stove?

Oh, I understand I saw the thread that’s where I got the picture while I wasn’t home. It’s the exact stove I’ve been running. I’m trying to find out if it’s rated for use with coal because the gentleman I got it from bought it brand new he said like 79 or 80 and he had only burnt Coal in it up until he took it out. I’ve been burning wood in it for four years, but I have an abundance of free. . Coal fumes are corrosive. Be sure the flue system is able to to handle this.

Does it have shaker grates in it with an air supply under those grates?
