I have a Vermont Castings Defiant 1975 stove and am having trouble with my house getting excessively dusty. I feel like the problem is coming from the connection where my DuraVent DVL oval to round adapter attaches to the stove. I have tried getting it to fit better with stove rope and with sealant. Has anybody come up with a solution to get that joint tighter. With it being dual wall pipe its really hard to get a tight fit. I know I can expect some dust but If I clean the stove and don't use it for a day my air purifiers will have an air quality reading of 50 or less. Once I start burning they will go up and within two days will be maxed out at 999. If the sun shines in the windows it looks foggy in the house but doesn't smell of smoke. Any suggestions? I have had all the gaskets replaced on the stove and have double checked with a dollar bill and also a flash light and everything seems to be tight.
