Had a Beech tree too close to the house, and it seemed like a good time to take care of it. I don't like having to take down healthy (and pretty) trees, but the overhang over the roof was too much. Not to mention all the debris in the gutters. Anyway, got a couple of pics, one of the trunk layed out, and the other of the start of the stack. The splitting / stacking is going pretty well, easier than I was expecting. I think I'm going to get about 3/4 cord out of this.

Good firewood for sure
 
Yes, it is good wood. I've had to take down a few over the years (same reason as this one). It's dense and coals well.
