Thought this was interesting. Seems to perform a bit better than the Duraliner insulated (compressed double wall) that I had. Exit temps are about ~50F higher and I can run at a lower stove pipe temp (around 600) to maintain 250F at exit.

Can see where there are sections of vermiculite still in the chase near the bottom left and some on the right. The block wall below the siding has 2" of foam insulation and is about the same temp as the outer brick. Seems to be doing its job. Hard to believe 1/2" separates 900 degree flue gases. I forgot that I did insulate the connector pipe from thimble to tee this time around so that had to help some.

It's good to see the wood heat is back. This looks like an overall nice improvement.

Oh ya especially with single digits this week. $336 electric bill last month that the stove was out of commission. We had some -12F days, too cold for the heat pump so had to run baseboards some. No gas available here.

I'm happy with the install, fitment and performance. Hoping it lasts 30 years.
