It is one of those new side-mount inserts for tight clearances GVA . They are all the rage these days.

That 'splains it - I was getting dizzy at first trying to figure which end was up, BB... It looks real nice. Hopefully the kitty attached to the tail in the pic will be able to get used to new configuration.
