I acquired a 1960’s era TEMCO LP heating stove Model #CVI 60-11 from a retired HVAC fella. It’s gorgeous. Q: Occasionally I need to tap on the gas regulator to ‘wake it up’ after I advance the Milli-volt thermostat hotter. Whyso, and what can be done to solve that issue? Any info appreciated. It could be loose wires, bad switch, bad thermopile, bad regulator, or a sticking valve. I would check in that order.
You can try changing the regulator head. That usually works. Which valve is it? Robert Shaw, SIT, Honeywell?
