I bought a used vermont castings radiance propane radvt . Got it working outside with a small propane tank. Moved it inside and it wouldnt light no pilot flame. I ended up changing both the gas valve and the pilot light assembly with new units. So its all new from the intake to the pilot light. Hooked up propane leak tested propane is flowing to the valve entrance . Now the same problem pilot light refuses to light and i dont see any flow. I didnt hook up any wires because I was just trying to see it the pilot would light. How long does it take to flush air out of a new valve . Ive been trying to light it for about 5 minutes total.
Very frustrated !

Keep trying. You have to clear not only the valve, but also the pilot tube from the valve to the pilot hood. That tube diameter is pretty small…Can you smell gas at the pilot?

Did you install the valve backwards? Can you show a bunch of pics?

just figured it out im testing on a propane tank without a regulator. I didnt know the gas valve had a pressure limit. im hoping it will work now. thanks
