Looking for some ideas from the pro's. See siggy for FP we have now:
Boy would I love to see the goverment put more requirements to make these fireplaces more efficient.
We love our's but hate seeing heat wasted out chimney.
We are a family of 4 with two teenage kids. Both working parents during day.
I believe we will be just using stove at night and weekends.
Not looking to heat whole house just looking to do our part by going green. Zoned heating in house.
Would like to keep total costs with permits, install $3500 or under.
FP is in 16' x 20' family room with cathderal ceiling and large fan - this is attached to 29' x 15' kitchen.
Looked @ Lopi Repulic 1250I but it looked so small. Liked the Avalon Rainer but price was closer to $4,500.
Ok people - sell me on your stove recommendation...

Thanks in advance to all.

Pacific Energy Super, or Summit if it will fit. Easy to use, well built (stainless steel baffle), lifetime warranty, really puts out the heat (so I'm told--I have the smaller version, the Vista). Post your fireplace dimensions and a picture if you can so we know what we're dealing with.
