A few weeks back I answered a craigslist ad for pellets 185.00 a ton. They guy answered quickly stating that they were a new producer and hoped to be distributing to all the northeastern states very soon. Yesterday I finally had a chance to go pick up a ton. When i arrived I was surprised to see such an unassuming building and no raw material laying around like i expected. The gentlemen was in hurry as he had a funeral to get to and he loaded my pellets on to my trailer. The ton was wrapped very well much better then the large manufactures do. the bags were unmarked and sturdy. I asked to see the pellets we took me over to the bagger and took off a half filled bag. the pellets were still warm from production. He said that the content was about 70% hardwood and 30% softwood. it was nice to sell a small to medium operation like that up close. I saw about 7 tons on the floor and thats it. I never buy pellets per ton without testing first but, I figured why not try it at that price. hopefully they are good pellets and I can continue to get them at that price.
