Stove Story?

We bought this stove because it was cool looking, and we were told it came from an old schoolhouse. It has a blower anttachment and air dampener. Does anyone have a clue where it came from? It’s a trapezoid shape when looking down from above. Feel free to roast me for its inefficiency. 2 years into ownership and we are still figuring out the perfect fire.

Looks like a local shop made stoves from the 1970s or early 80s. And you don't have near enough hearth protection

Def not 3ft… but we do have about and 1/8th inch thick steel heat shield. I like how you all are selling me on a new stove. 😁

A proper ventilated heat shield could reduce the required clearance to 12"

12’ is what we planned for, it is a ventilated and super thick shield but it’s tough to say it’s correctly installed.

The shield absolutely doesn't look wide enough either.
