Harman Stove/constant mode..
read on a tech site that most efficient[ didn't say economical] way to run stove mode is on #6 with fan speed on #1...now we all know that stove/constant likes to eat pellets and assume this setting would be feed frenzy or,,,,
since esp probe controls this mode by monitoring exhaust temps, maybe at such a high feed the exhaust temps reach the max sooner and hold it there causing the stove to just dribble pellets like it does in room/manual keeping the flames going.. anyone think this may occur? this info was on on a web site that sells stove parts and has videos by techs to show how to run, fix, replace and diagnostics....... haven't tried it yet but just may next real cold night..any input?

Never ran EITHER of my Harman Stoves any higher than “3-1/2 - 4.” Constant (Stove Temp) mode. During the coldest NY winters, I burned 2 bags a day, & the house stayed toasty warm. 12+ seasons of burning pellets. Don’t know ANYONE who has run a Harman at “6.”

Interesting…4 and 4 has been my go to even at -40…2ish bags a day…efficiency and economical are similar definitions…I might try it to see…

When I run constant mode, I leave my stove main settings the same as I have for when running off the thermostat - at level 6 and a high fan speed. If I was only trying to heat a room, low would be fine, but I am heating to the far end of the house, so need the extra oomph from the fan speed.

Then I control the room temp with the feed rate (sometimes down to 1 or lower, sometimes as far up as 2.5). If I let the stove go without adjusting the feed rate, it gets way too hot in here. I've tried it leaving the feed rate higher (because years ago, people were adamant that the feed rate should not be touched - LOL), and that does not work well for me. For other people, in other circumstances, it might be fine.

HOWEVER, the way I have my thermostats in line with the room temp probe seems to somewhat affect how the stoves respond to the different mode settings, so my experience may not be relevant to this conversation:)
