I just picked up a ton of Stove Chow at home depot in Biddeford Maine. The price was $197.00, I hoping these will be a good shoulder season pellet. For the winter I picked up a ton of PWI super premium pellets (hardwood). The dealer stated that these are better then Cubex. The PWI were $255.00 a ton. Any comments on either pellet would be appreciated. Thanks
The Stove Chow are a good pellet. Probably better than shoulder-season. If the quality is the same as last winters batch, I wouldn't hesitate to get them.
I have no experience with PWI, and while they may be a very good pellet, I find it hard to believe they are better than Cubex, which are the best hardwood pellets AFAIK (and yes, I HAVE burned them).
Could it be that that your dealer just happens to not sell Cubex? .......that might explain his statement. Usually dealers will downgrade anything they don't sell themselves. We have had reports of dealers telling prospective customers that Infernos were a GREAT pellet. :gulp:[/quote
Local lowes is pushing these infernos..lol
the report shows the lowest average temp of 185..i wouldn't buy these...ash percentage of 1%......junk
