A mason that our son works with will be here to "help" all it will cost is a couple plates of my wife's spaghetti and gas money.Good luck. I did a stone veneer wall recently and it took much longer than it should have but awesome when completed. Take your time and make sure it's right.
Disclaimer: I am not a pro mason,,, but, isn't it better to let the mortar cure slowly for best results? (better strength) I have even seen masons spray/mist mortar as it cures to prolong the process for added strength.Break out the fans after the stone and tile are in place to help the mortar dry, should wait for the tile & grout cure before you put weight on it, it you get it all in and done by Sunday, you should be able to install the stove Tuesday, I you have to put the chimney in then do it Monday so you just have to slide the stove in Tuesday. Good luck
