Picked one of these up last year when we moved back to our cabin and needed to clear a building site. The saw starts easily and seems to cut 12"-14" oaks just fine. All of this was before we started considering adding a wood stove to do all of our heating in the new cabin. Looks like in this relatively mild climate in Arkansas that we will need to cut 3 to 4 cords a year. Is this saw suitable for this use? The guy at the Stihl store said it was one of his most popular saws and that the older users and ones (like me) with rotator cuff problems have found the easy start feature
invaluable. So.......am I ok with this saw for 4 cords a year on an ongoing basis?
Thanks,
Jbird

Yes It should handle that like a charm!

The saw is fine but the easy start may not be. If it breaks after three cords, convert to manual start. Otherwise you will be repairing it forever.
