Hope you all can read this. I received an update from Tom at Woodstock on the testing of the new steel cats and it looks like they are going to make a few changes and are continuing the testing. Interesting stuff, looks like they will be rebuilding these more like the PH layer cat instead of the compressed style in the other stoves. Also looks like there will be a gasket mod for the PH.
When you enlarge the image right click and view image. It will show the image at full size and is very readable.
Another way it to click on show image in original, its right next to the x out button top right and you can open a window that makes it larger.
then they will quietly go back to ceramic..
That doesn't work for me. It just closes the image box.
I thought it was mine.
They should be all built like the PH, stacked layers with a gasket wrap.
Yes, I seemed to be, they sent me a new one. This has been working well, although lately it seems slightly harder to get the cat lit. I'm blaming it on shoulder season burning. Does anyone else find it more difficult to lit the cat in the shoulder season?Weren't some folks having issues with the Progress cat, or am I remembering wrong?

I got the email but haven't read it yet. Computer problems have kept me away. One of the cats that are being tested is from our stove so naturally we're curious.
