I have a afton bay and am having lots of trouble adjusting my damper. and does anyone know where the two small vents on either side of the firebox goes

Welcome to the forum!

They are ash traps and route to your exhaust fan and pipe. Keep them
cleaned out and your stove will run best. Many of us use a coat hanger
and thin homemade attachments on the shop vac to get in there.

If you do a search you will see a few other owners of that stove.
 
Thanks so much.. so they run behind my burn pot towards the back of the stove. Does anyone have any information about Pike Pellets
