my P61 ramps itself up anyway till the heat exchanger is hot enough to turn the convection fan on. So yes in that sense, no in the sense that I don't run it like that, Harman does !
My stove has 5 levels. I run on an external thermostat. I have the stove set to run on level 3 when the thermostat calls for heat. I will occasionally turn it up to 4 when it gets really cold.
