There has been a marked uptick in activity in my area of CT. The squirrels, both grey and red (geniuses in their own right) have been going nuts (so to speak) rounding up whatever they can find. My hibiscus are decimated, pine cones are disappearing, and it makes me wonder if they know something we don't? Or...is it that they had SUCH a hard year last winter that they don't want to get caught empty handed and are stepping up their game as a result?
