Sqaure holes to either side of the burn box tightening bolts? 25-pdv pellet stove

Sqaure holes to either side of the burn box tightening bolts? 25-pdv pellet stove
wouldn't burn very good till covered them with high heat silicone. Are there caps to cover these? Can't find anything about it online or in any manual.
