Looks good bogydave, is it all birch?
zap
I learned from the master. I'm not as good yet but am improving. Now I'm going to have to learn how to stack wood so neat. Nice work Dave.
I followed Dennis's (BWS) pictures of his stacks & a few others. I can't drive in metal fence post like Zap, too rocky where I stack, but his are perfect.Good job, Dave. If you write instructions on how to stack so neat, please put me on the waiting list.
Why you sandbaggerdon't ever put me in your category. The masters are zap and Highbeam. Then comes Bogydave. Sad, but I am way down the list but I don't mind at all.
Nice job. I need to buff up on my wood guesstimations skills because looking at your photos I would guess that to be more than 1.3 cord.
I did a walk off measurement & guesstimate. Maybe more there.
I'll measure it. Be right back.
35' long, average 4'-5" high, 17" splits.
35 X 4.41 X 1.41 = 217.6 cubic ft ÷ 128 = 1.7 cords.
You were right. Now I have more wood
He has to feel better now because his wood stack grew. I've been planting them for years and never had one grow yet. Maybe there is something about the Alaskan weather?
