The new Regency I2450 insert is installed and working good but I feel there is no enough draft. The installer checked my liner and said it is good so I kept the old 6" liner and cap
I remember about 15 years ago the liner cleaners told me that my cap was too small and suggested to replace with a larger one and I agreed but when the time came to light the fireplace I had a huge draft and so I switched back the old cap. So I conclude the cap controls the draft
My old insert had a firebox size 2.9 cu.ft and the new 2.3 cu.ft. Are any rules how to select the size of a new cap?
Thanks
