So I haven't gotten around to sharing this story, but last fall when cleaning my Quad 5100i, I broke one of the baffle boards when disassembling. Yes, they are very brittle!
Assuming placing a warranty claim would be time-consuming and litigious, I ordered a new baffle board online and sent an email to the dealer I purchased from a few years ago. I explained what happened and noted that I should still be in the warranty period.
No questions asked, a new board set was on its way! That's the way customer service should be.
