I want to sell my Econoburn 150. Anyone have an idea of what it is worth? Or is anyone interested in buying it? I have used it for 3 seasons and I have installed a 12 hour fan timer for the fan on it. works great but I just got natural gas for free on my property so I have no use for it. I live Southeast of Pittsburgh Pa.

Muscle Car Joe.

what did you pay for it originally?
Maybe you knock off 5% per season.
What else comes with it? flue pipe, etc.

Free gas ! Can't beat that. congrats !

Gotta make sure I am understanding this right. Do you mean you got the gas ran to and hooked up for free? Not free gas. Right? You are going with the natural gas because it is very inexpensive now. With wood boiler already in place and works good. Why not keep it? Burn when you feel like it. Piece of mind to not be dependent on gas or oil company.

I know is some places if you let the natural gas company put a well on your property you get gas for free as part of the deal.

I think joe is in drilling country, as are we. My daughter's boyfriend may be interested so let me know your price.

Yes FREE Natural Gas...A well being drilled on my property. part of agreement requires that they provide me with free naural gas. All I have to do is pay for the line to the house and install a Natural gas boiler.

Good for you Joe! Is there a limit in the agreement to the amount of Natural Gas you can use? ;lol Can you put a Natural gas whole house generator and disconnect from the Grid.? Then buy an electric/gas car? ;lol That would be sweet.

unfortunatly yes there is a limit in the contract to provide gas for heating, cooking and hot water only.

That is a sweet deal. Tell them you need the generator to run your electric stove.;)
How close to your house are they drilling and how long will they have the rig set up.
Also how long do you get free gas? Indefinitely?

about 500 yards from the house. not sure on how long it will take. and free gas indefinatly or well taps out.

There are places around here on some of the old fields that have had free gas for 50 years. On the really old contracts the gas was free for any purpose other than a generator. It's a huge bump in the value of a home if there are no costs associated with heating.

One of the farmers near here used to have a huge hog scalding kettle in his barn that he used to cook red beans in for his dairy herd. Beans are super high protein and he never had to use any supplements for his herd but the Holsteins can't digest them unless cooked first. The cows loved them and his herd had excellent milk and butterfat production but boy did his barn smell interesting.
