Hello,
We are installing a Selkirk thimble and need to know if we can put insulation around the perimeter of the pipe. We’re sending it through a window. Of course we’ve built the “wall” to fill in the empty space.
Thanks

Use the product and directed in the instructions. I believe it comes with and insulation gasket of the wall and another for around the chimney pipe.

Can you be more specific? Is this the Selkirk IWT or the 6T-IWT wall thimble? Are you asking if the wall insulation can touch the thimble? If the later, it should be ok if unfaced.

I put rock wool between the skin of the double wall chimney pipe and the inner surface of the thimble.
