I'm installing a 6" Selkirk crimp double-wall inside to Supervent twist class A outside, and am totally confused on which adapters to use. It's a Morso stove with vertical outlet enlarged from 120 mm to 6" via a Woodman's adapter. About 12' total chimney run in a stone barn with steel corrugated roof. The only wood is in the rafters. I'll use Supervent twist for the exterior, with swivel roof mount and Dektite boot.
Q: It's a straight-run that I can clean from inside the stove, so I think I can omit an adjustable-length pipe section and simply use the swivel roof mount to ease the weight on the stove. Does this make sense?
Q: Another issue: There are so many variations of Selkirk pipe that I'm totally lost as to what adapters to use. Since the stove outlet is 6" vertical and would accept a single-wall 6" crimp, will the Selkirk double-wall crimp connect directly to the stove? And what adapter connects Selkirk crimp to the Supervent twist? Seems a lot more complicated than when I last did this in the late 1970's. (Or maybe I'm just baffled more easily as an old man).
