Part three of my two-part question from before.
I was looking at venting products and it appears the industry standard is Simpson DuraVent. Looking online for prices, however, I came across a product from Selkirk called Direct-Temp. Now I'm no heating engineer (although it appears some of you are) but it seems to me that this product is the cat's meow. It provides a heated source of combustion air, has a 1" clearance, welded stainless inner exhaust pipe, and a lifetime warranty.
Does anyone have any testimonials to provide for or against this product or in comparison with the DuraVent product? It's starting to get chilly here in the Pioneer Valley and I'm hoping to get everything installed and ready to go in the next couple of weeks.
