A coworker dropped some red oaks and had too much wood so I stopped by there on Sunday and chopped it up and brought it home.. The next day I split it on my lil electric splitter which handled it no problem.. I headed out to pick up some pallets and my truck snapped a leaf spring shackle! I was lucky that it didn't snap with the load of oak in the bed!!New shackles are being installed on both leaf springs and should be done today..Here are pics unsplit and split..

Nice work!

I've never seen a spring shackle snap, but I had a Rambler that the spring shackles came right up through the floor of the trunk! Nothing a little plywood and some sheet metal screws couldn't fix.

Nice location on the wood stacks!

LOL thanx 1st time I've had shackles crap out on me but the truck is a 97 F-150 so it's normal for them to eventually get rusty.. I would hope you used at least 1/2" plywood to fix that!
