You know threads like this will kick us in the butt. As we enjoy (hold on let me look) 66 degree late October days all of a sudden wham! winter shows up and fall is left behind. But for now, lets enjoy it while we can. At least Sandy is gone
Im at 56 now, just about every day is right on the edge on whether or not I should bother to get the stove going, I wish it would just get cold and get it over with so I can light it up for the next 5-6 months
Slightly different here as we are at 93 (34 Celsius) but falling down to a lowly 80 by the weekend......sounds like splitting weather to me.
You guys get an early winter in the rockies dont you? I suppose it depends on your elevation too.50's in daytime and the mid 20's over night. I am burning small loads of chunk to take the chill off in the mornings. We have had 1 snowstorm that brought us 4.5" of snow and that night it got down to 18 which is pretty normal for us this time of year.

Doing my conversion from C to F its 41 and raining hard in the east kootenays! Not sure how I like my poly covering on the wood pile. I need the snow back to hold it down. It was nice to have a small cold spell here last week where it played winter for a week or so and everything was frozen. Our snow is pretty much gone and my lawn has gotten soft. Hope all you out east are staying safe!
