Appears to be just one of those freak accidents. Not clear if the limb that fell on him was from the tree he'd just cut and was skidding, or some other tree Never the less, be careful out there.

SALEM -- A town man was found dead Tuesday after a tree limb fell and pinned him to the wheel of the tractor he was driving.

State Police in Granville said Frederick Frielinghaus, 59, went to his parents' house on Dillon Hill Road on Monday to cut down trees. While he was pulling a tree out of the woods with his tractor, a large limb from above fell on him, troopers said. State Police spokeswoman Trooper Maureen Tuffey said it's unclear why a limb fell on him after he had finished cutting down a tree.
Frielinghaus' daughter, who lives with him, realized he had not come home Monday night and found him at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. The tractor was still running. An autopsy conducted at Glens Falls Hospital determined Frielinghaus died from asphyxiation due to chest compression, police said.

Kid in NH got killed by a falling tree a couple weeks ago. Windy conditions and what looked to be a red maple snapped at the trunk and landed on him while riding his bike. Very sad.
