Hello
You get what you pay for and I picked this up cheap. LOL
First, I cleaned and tested the room blower and replaced the igniter, Ignition snap disc and hi limit switch.
The exhaust housing flange is also loose and needs to be resealed and fastened more securely with larger self tapping screws. That the easy stuff.
The auger and auger motor did come out in one piece.
The auger steel set collar is really stuck and the set screw head is gouged out completely!
I tried drilling the set screw but not much luck. :-(
So I pulled out the plasma cutter. See pics
Easy to cut but hard not to cut the auger. The bearing was very dirty inside so that was cleaned with a rotary brush.
I just added a new set collar and auger motor.
Pellets should feed much better now?

A couple of hits on both sides of that set screw with a cold chisel probably would have broke that free...

I tried and no way!

Hello
There seems to be an issue with just putting a new auger collar on the auger and re-installing the auger with a new motor.
Why did Napoleon switch to a hitch pin and an auger motor with a hole in the shaft in there newer NPS-45 pellet stoves??
The steel collar is quite a bit smaller than other pellet stoves and so is the set screw!
Ah Ha
So I drilled another hole in the auger shaft, got a 1/8” diameter hitch pin and an auger motor with a hole in the shaft. So bingo this auger motor will have no more issues when being replaced in the future!
