I am here by way of not being able to fit any insert into an exsisting fireplace.

I also must have a rear breech stove. I can have a vc intrepid here in 1 week if it fits.

I can pick up the exterior sizes from the manual but the width of the stove in the rear is not available. I do know the stove extends 7 inches back form the main body but I do not know the width. Height looks flush with top which is fine

I am trying to figure out how far back I can push the unit into the fireplace. This will keep body of stove from protruding too much into the room. Best case scenario would be 15 inches (main body). Heatilator is wider in the front and narrower in the back( sitting in an old heatilator that cannot be removed and cannot be fixed)
