Okay fellas, I promised pictures and here they are. The Yamaha Grizzly 700. It came with:

fuel injection
power steering
independent suspension
heated hand grips
windshield
snow blade
winch 2500 lb
camo version

As for the blizzard, as you can see we didn't get it. I told my wife yesterday we'd not get much and it wouldn't have surprised me if we hadn't got any. The updated forecast at noon still is calling for 5-9" this afternoon. I doubt it. Watching the radar, it breaks up before it gets to us. We'll probably see snow all afternoon but not much for accumulation. It has snowed all day so far and we only have an inch at most.

Hey Dennis that is one fun looking tool (toy)! Must had loads of power being a 700.. Best of luck with it and ride safe!

Ray

Thanks Ray. That thing does have some power!

Hey Dennis, very nice.

My nephew has the same one in Black and its a lot of fun and very powerful.

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks maxed_out. We have some big plans for this beast.

Looks great Sav, have fun on that beast.

Dennis,
Shouldn't the blade be vertical rather then horizontal? :-) (Sorry I couldn't resist!)

Nice ride though. I need to talk my better half (the Dragon Lady) into getting me one!

Well we did get a little more snow and there was some ice starting to form on the underside so I went out to clear the driveways. I actually have one more to do but they are more in the open and it is drifting. I'll go back tomorrow. I was only there about 10 minutes and you could barely see my tracks where I had drove into the driveway. It is also getting very cold out there.

Unbelievably it is 53 degrees here right now! We'll be paying for this lol....

Its 53 degrees in Mass. and it is 25 and snowing in West GA? Damn you Obama!!!!

Dennis- Great ATV! I have an old Big Bear 400 that will never quit. It has made me a big fan of Yamaha.

very nice looking machine Dennis! I bet it will really push some snow. My old Sportsman always did very well and that was only a 500. Your 700 should push it like a truck! We got 15-16 inches of snow out of the storm here. Now -4°F below zero and still dropping, wind blowing.

I had a 250 Polaris for years was a real work horse..5 deg. here at least the wind stopped howling like it was the last 2 days of up to 50 MPH.

Very nice . . . but what's up with the "old man windshield" Dennis? Only guys I ever see with the windshields on their ATVs around here are old guys. ;) :)

With age comes wisdom......

Dennis,
My good buddy ("Koko" is his username here) had that exact machine. I think his was an 07? I took it for a ride breifly. With the EFI and the power steering, it's a very smooth quad! I'm sure you'll like both features for cold weather plowing.

Looks great Dennis

Does it have the locking front diff? Thats one thing I wish I had gotten on my 400 Kodiak. But when I got mine it was only on the 600 grizzly. Mine does a good job pushing snow. Yours should do a great job! And being heaver it should have a lot more traction for pulling and stopping a trailer load of wood.

This thing indeed does push snow much better than my old one. The power is awesome! I intentionally piled some up just to see if I could push it. Not only did it push the snow, it did it with ease! I just got home about 15 minutes ago from plowing out a big area. A neighbor has semi's and a big horse barn so there is a big area to clear. Not bad, not bad at all. The blade I have now is wider than the old blade so it also does not take as long. I'm still getting used to the winch as I keep reaching for the up lever on my side. lol The winch lift is easier on the shoulder.

It does have the locking differential.

I'm anxious to give this thing a try with a snowfall like quads got. I know there were several times I could not push snow with the old machine. Might have with chains but I doubt it. I think this one will do just fine.

The windshield is a nice touch. I learned with the other machine that a windshield did help to keep the hands from getting so cold. On this one, not only do I have the wind blocking of the windshield but also have the heated handgrips. Those are great!

Thanks everyone.

Looking good Dennis. Sometimes I wish I had one, then realize that I really don't have a need or use for one that would justify it. It would literally be a toy for me - and I got too many of those already.

Looks like it is ready to work.

Jags, I don't really use it that much for play but mostly combined with work on the place. Right now it is plowing snow and hauling wood.

Yeah - if I had that kind of need or application, I would have one as well. But around my yard (where I do all the wood processing), I already have all the equipment I can use. A quad won't really do anything that I can't already do - other than having fun.

Take it out and blast a drift for me, would ya??

Its good you have that yellow blade on it, that way it wont get lost in the woods. ;-P

Nice,

Shipper

 Shipper, I said the same thing. Because it is camouflaged, if not for the yellow blade I might lose the atv!
