A classic example of how a 3 way thermostatic can severly constipate a piping system.
A TACO 007 can easily move 150,000 BTU/ hr at 5 feet of head loss, plenty for that boiler requirement. The reason he had to install a grossly over sized high head pump is the Cv or pressure drop through that 3 way. That's a cv of 3 or 3 GPM valve. That piping must scream with velocity noise. Aa 14 GPM 3 way would have been a better choice, less pump and power consumption and the cavitation issues he will soon experience would disappear.
