I need to install my wood stove into an existing chimney opening, but it is 1 1/2" short of reaching the opening. I haven't been able to find any small pipe extensions (6" single wall). Or is there anything (non-flammable) to put under the legs to raise it? The floor is non-flammable.

Typically, one of the sections of the stove pipe are telescoping instead of fixed length. That allows for the fine tuning of the final fit. It can also make the flue easier to clean.

The safest thing to use to raise the stove 1 1/2" may be cement paving blocks. or maybe firebrick which is 1 1/4" thick?
