Quick question about cleaning.

I here what your saying. I think most of what we brush down in the chimney is solid chunks. It falls to the bottom. The dust is gone as soon as your done. Never heard of it being an issue.
 
I would guess that any suspended dust would pretty quickly either fall down pipe prior to lighting up stove or move up and out the stack with draft. I wouldn’t give it a thought.

I've never heard of an issue either. I think the particles are big enough that they don't float long.
