Good morning,

I noticed this morning that my Outfitter II (rebadged PP130) during the shutdown sequence when the convection and exhaust blower decelerate just prior to shutdown, that they are turning off at the same time. From what I recall, the exhaust blower will keep running for some time afterwards like my CAB 50 upstairs.

When it shuts off completely there are still are few glowing embers in the burn pot. Yesterday I cleaned the Outfitter II, and noticed this behavior today.

I looked at the probe (proof of fire?) on the exhaust housing and notice the probe was not vertical in the small bracket screwed onto the housing. I loosened the bracket and then straightened the probe but that had no effect and the exhaust blower failed to continue running after the convection blower stopped.

Any ideas or help, start up and running appear to be normal.

Thank you for your time.

Jim

From your manual

D. ShutdownTo shut the appliance down, turn the dial control counterclockwise to the OFF position. During the shutdown process, the LED will flash amber or green rapidly just like the ignition sequence. The firepot burn-down cycle will begin but without the feed motor running. The feed will be terminated during this shutdown process. The exhaust and convection blowers will remain on during the shutdown process until the exhaust has cooled.I

Thank you. I saw this as well. I just do not recall the blowers shutting off simultaneously and leaving lit embers in the pot.

It all depends on the temp of the proof of fire switch.
If the exhaust temp falls below a certain spec the fans shut off
some stoves using temp and set time. example My fan will continue
to run as long as the exhaust temp is over 140::F or 15 minutes from shut down
Quite often there will still be some glowing pellets in the burn pot. But time and exhaust temp
specs. have been met.
