I finally installed my stove today. Was pretty easy to do. It took me 1 HR 20 minutes to do. When I first turned it on......WOW what an odor ! I let it burn for 4 hours on high to let the chemicals and paint residue burn away. I'd like to take some pictures of this,but this website will only allow little tiny files for pictures. I'm very proud of myself. I did the hearth and install myself. Now time to enjoy.

Sorry you bought the Sante Fe.

As near as I can tell they are more of an expensive toy than a serious source of heat.

Any chance you can return it now and get a Castille?

The Castile and the Sante Fe are pretty much the same thing. The Castile is all cast iron and the Sante Fe is cast iron on the inside and a steel frame. I love the looks of the Sante Fe. They are also rated at the same BTU's too. Anyways....I am going to keep my Sante Fe. So far it's awesome. I believe most of the wood pellet stoves out there today are pretty good anyways.

I think you will be very happy with your santa fe stove. I have a cape and the stove heats the house just fine. The most important advise is to make sure to keep the stove clean and follow the manual. The manual says to clean the hopper and behind the baffles after one ton of pellets. However, I do a full cleaning of the stove once of a month. You will be surprised to see how dirty the heat exchangers get. I have been burning energex and barefoot pellets this month which are burning great. Good luck with your stove.

I agree, you should be very happy with your Santa Fe. We've had ours running 24/7 since early December heating our 1000 sq/ft ranch house. So far no problems and have not had to burn any oil. All we do is is dump the burn pot once a day and give it a complete cleaing once a week. It only takes about 10 minutes and right back on line.
