Has anyone had a problem with the control box shutting down the stove occasionally??

stops feeding,shuts down or wont start. im hoping it was a loose thermocouple

is it clear or grey controll box and are there any lights on in or on the box?

First off, why do you think it is the control box? There are numerous upstream things that can cause your problem. Please be more more specific, what does it do thru the whole cycle (i.e. I turn the thermostat up, the combustion fan comes on, pellets start dropping, the ignitor kicks on, etc). It could possibly be the thermistor not detecting heat correctly as you mentioned, make sure the housing is fully made up over the wiring, could also be your feed rate and other things.
