Hello All,

I have a question I am hoping someone can help me with.

My quadra Fire 1200i pellet stove had an issue the other day where it appeared the auger never shut off and it way over filled the burn pot while causing a huge fire inside the pellet stove. My house warmed well over what the thermostat was set at, but I'm assuming that's because it was burning all the pellets inside the stove that had dropped as the thermostat seems to be working. What would cause the auger to continuously drop pellets to where it over flows the burn pot?

Thanks All

Yikes, that sounds like quite the scare! It could be an issue with the auger motor or the control board not signaling it to stop feeding pellets. Another possibility is a faulty thermocouple or sensor that’s not properly detecting the temperature, causing the auger to keep running. Definitely worth checking those components or having a professional take a look to avoid another overfill situation.

I've seen this before- its normally the control board replacement syndrome, maybe power off and reset first? It is an unnerving situation too... Stay warm.

Good call ARC. 2022 reopened 😤
