Does the feed rate rod suppose to move up and down freely? When adjusting mine, you almost have to force it in either direction. How high is the flame when set on Low?

I've only fired mine up a couple of times, but once you've loosened the wing-nut the rod should move quite freely without much force at all. If you have to, you can also loosen up the philips-head screw down near the bottom of the adjustment rod too.

My understanding is that on high the flame should be no more than 4" above the top lip of the burn pot. On medium, perhaps about 3" and on low approximately 1" to 2".
