We have 'em here too especially at the nearby state forest which has suffered a few forest fires.. We call 'em scrub pines and they are gnarly, smallish and hard to burn.. I think it's mother nature's way of surviving after a forest fire..

We call them scrub pine too, even have a local campground called scrubby pines lol!
