I am trying to get the pellet insert (its a Regency CGI60) at my mom's running - I need to remove the auger -there is a pellet jam I cant reach to clear. I need access to the back of the stove. My question is do you disconnect the flu liner when you pull an insert out? I would think so but see no obvious way to disconnect and remove. I have the rail kit and am fairly good with mechanics but I'm stumped. Please help me - I could not find another post with this info and the user manual is not helpful on this subject. Thank you!

Sandra,

I hope it’s not too late for a response after a couple of months.

The blower fan for the exhaust just seats up to the external vent stack. What this means is that when you put the unit on the service rails, it will pull straight out without you having to disconnect anything except the fresh air in take line off it’s not a flexible line.

This stove is a lot of work. Hope it’s going better for you to get to the blockage. You can only take the pellet stove pellet storage apart once the unit is pulled out for service on the rails. Try to get out as many of the pellets before you open the container in the back or the pellets will fall out everywhere.

Let me know if this helped or if you got someone out there to help you out.
